Violative Cause opening up for Carly Rae Jepsen on Canada Day 2008 in Mission, BC.First Half of Video is Violative Cause's performance, Second half is Carly Rae Jepsen's Headlining performance.CARLY RAE JEPSEN:After completing the Telus Presents Canadian Idol Top 3 concert tour, Carly Rae retreated to B.C. to focus on writing, recording and completing her band. Her demos attracted a flurry of attention, causing a managerial bidding war. She eventually signed a joint management deal with Simkin Artist Management, and Dexter Entertainment. A deal with Fontana/Maple Music quickly followed, leading Carly Rae into the studio with producer Ryan Stewart. The debut single, "Sunshine On My Shoulders", will hit Canadian radio on June 16th, 2008. The only cover song on the album, the single showcases Carly Rae's ability to create mesmerizing vocal melodies and mood shifts in her songs. CAUSE:Violative Cause; Lenny Diko (born Princeton BC), & Lex (born Geneva, Switzerland,) backed by super producer & DJ, DJ Con (Born Mission, BC) have been circulating the canadian underground hip hop scene for over 6 years. With their first official LP "Just Movement" released in June of 2006, they toured across the western coast, including a tour with local rap legend Moka Only and eventually into eastern europe with stops in Austria & Germany. 2007 saw two releases from the hip hop group, the first being "The World Is Ours" and second "Entourage" (a digital release)... The group has taken a break for the past 6 months to regenerate and is just about to hit the studio again to record their 4th studio album. Their music is described as raw, underground, edgey, intelligent hip hop over beats you can move your body to... Taking it back to the basics with the standard format; emcees & and DJ this group has been making noise and will continue to do so for years to come.
