Yes, I lived in Orange County too, San Juan Capistrano for 40 years. That Submarine came when gyro was on Alicia in Mission Viejo and PlayCo on Eltoro road, long gone now, used to sell them too. Anthony sold Gyro, now, I heard. Great place.

Radios? You can buy a pretty nice 3 channel complete set for under $100 that can be used in many kit planes.
