(Alex, Sophie, Kevin, Frankie, and Joe were all standing outside the door the basement of the hotel. Alex seemed really excited.)SOPHIE: so Alex, what's the big surprise?ALEX: well we've been working on it for a while now, and its finally done. Voilà! *he opens the door*FRANKIE: it's dark...ALEX: Wait for it(he flips a few switches and the many colorful lights turn on, revealing a fancy, tricked out bowling alley. He flips one last switch and music begins booming throughout the room, tv screens light up, and 8 bowling aisles begin to light up)KEVIN: sweeeet!JOE: Nice *him and Alex bump fists*ALEX: as soon as Nick and Carlee get here, we can start a game.*Everyone starts putting custom made bowling shoes on -courtesy of Alex of course*NICK: hey, what did we miss?CARLEE: I'm thinking the creation of a super awesome bowling alleyJOE: Shouldnt you guys be holding hands or somethi- OW! *Sophie "accidentally" stomped on his foot*SOPHIE: Ok, so let's bowl!KEVIN: Guys vs girls?CARLEE: No, it'll be 5 against 2.JOE: Fine, you guys can have FrankieSOPHIE: It's still unevenFRANKIE: it's ok girls, we'll still beat those losers *puts his game face on*NICK: oh, game on! *he picks up frankie and spins him around*(The game started of off badly for the girls+Frankie, as Alex and Kevin both got strikes. Carlee managed to knock down 8 of the 10 pins, then the remaining 2, but Sophie only hit 7 total.)JOE: make way, the superstar bowler is coming through.NICK: Joe, remember we're not playing with bumpers up.*joe knocks down 8 pins*JOE: hmm, not a strike, but not too shabby(As the game went on, the events took a turn, with Sophie and Carlee catching up. Nick just knocked down 8 pins, and the girls needed a strike to win.)ALEX: looks like it's game overSOPHIE: nuh-uh, we still have a chance.CARLEE: Sophie dear, I think it's time to bring out our secret weaponSOPHIE: why yes Carlee, I agreeKEVIN: what're you guys talking about?*Carlee hands Frankie bowling ball*FRANKIE: Watch 'n learn boys.(Frankie takes a step back and swings the his arm lightly. The ball rolls down the aisle VERY slowly.)JOE: HA! Is that all you got?NICK: Uh Joe?(Joe looks back at the ball just as it hits all 10 pins down.)FRANKIE: YESSSS!(Carlee and Sophie run over to him and celebrate, while the rest of the boys stand in shock. Nick took the loss particularly hard, him being the most competative.)KEVIN: Ok, ok, you guys beat us, fair and square.SOPHIE: Yes. We did.ALEX: alright, dinner's on meJOE: Youre paying? SWEET!NICK: Joseph, he always pays, its always free, his family runs the resortJOE: wait, what?NICK: Nevermind*They all go toward the exit, and Sophie pulls Joe aside*SOPHIE: hey, I don't think I thanked you enough for pretending to be my boyfriend before.JOE: it's cool, plus it wasn't that hard to pretend.SOPHIE: *smiles* Joe, I- *her phone starts ringing* Thats weird, I just got a text from a random number. Actually, it kinda seems famili- *She stops abuptly, her body tenses up, and her cheeks turn red*JOE: what's up?*she doesn't respond, she just keeps reading the text over and over*JOE: Sophie? *he shakes her*SOPHIE: Um, nothing... It's nothing[Shes glad Joe isn't a mind reader, cause all she could think about was the text which said,"January 23rd. Remember the date?Of course you do.:)"And below that was a picture.One Sophie wasn't so proud of. |
